VOgue

I saw Margaret Howell's( the british designer) dress shirt on vogue and the way she inspired. I thought it was intresting the way she gets her ideas. she has been designing contemporary, timeless clothes for both men and women since she opened her first design studio in Blackheath, London in 1970. She uses modern designs, teamed with traditional fabrics to produce clothes, which improve with age while still maintaining a youthful edge.
There is a shirt that she has been inspired by Ben Nicholson's and Barbara Hepworth's sculpture during her trip to st ives and tate gallery's.

Photography Interview

These are the links that i founded bout photography interviews and i read them

Photography is something really magical to me - capturing a still, perfect moment in time, that would otherwise have passed unnoticed, and preserving it forever. I love taking photographs of people, every face tells a story, and I think there is something profoundly beautiful in old, wise faces

Task 3

I made some notes about the the connecting creativity by MarMotti,L.

Connecting creativity

AS I read this chapter of this book I realised there are so many ways to describe creativity. There are so many questions that crossed our minds but rarely we realise them and how much affect on human life. Now a days most of the products are manufactured industrially rather than abstract the idea of creativity instead regard it as an a attribute of certain individuals.

“In the writings on Leonardo and Michelangelo he analyzed the

Two great masterpieces St Anne and Moses in which he could see turned into

Art, the nature and the inner secrets of the artists’ souls as individuals

Creativity and fashion and market Research

Clothing is a language, dynamic language open to endless resetting. Some people views fashion follows a trick down process some other consider it mainly a matter of points view.

Fashion used a means of communication. This communications has two levels: an open one and a hidden one. If we agreed with this statement that fashion is a language we should know that it’s a sophisticated one and in a way complementary, and also if u agreed fashion is distinct from style that is a acknowledged codes are variable. James Carse, a professor of philosophy at New

York University divides the world of human relations into ‘finite and infinite games’. Fashion is an infinite game. When Fashion changes cultures, society, and human changes. I love this part that said fashion does not happen by accident.

Now a days in fashion the creative people planned greatly accelerated every step of products. AS I read on this chapter designer needs wide of variety, drawing from history and going beyond it. Designers cannot create the desire to process but they can product, which satisfy, or incipient or otherwise undetected desire. In 1960 fashion shifted hugely, mini skirts or timberland shoes. As I understand in fashion industry not everything is possible. Designers creativity has to connect and linked to projects, company cannot exist without one. Experiment, innovation and observation helped company to grow. Fashion market is so segmented.

Data processing

In MaxMara Company they check daily process and products (style, size, colour) without any data- processing system, they developed independently to their specific requirement year’s age. And they keep customers buy predicting the chances for the next seasons product.

Technological and technical innovation

Textile design development in fashions, fabric research isl importance for Max Mara.

New techniques of construction

· Innovative textile

· Offering comfort

· Practicality

· Fluidity

· Lightness

· Stability

There are so many example like double face fabric, new modes of dressing. we should always consider the aspect of research.

The sketches, patterns, phototypes, the styling and

Accessories are all-important in each step in a great investment.

Advertising is the most important part with an absolute, possibly unique and identity.

On the other hand promotion is important as the writer said in the field of fashion, promotion means documentation.

There are so many elements in this industry, when these elements are synchronized the circle is completed where creativity can flow. and as long as somebody is in this industry never reach a conclusion.

Reading 1 (Vivienne Westwood)

I read about Vivienne Westood works(collections), Life, political involment and many more.

She started her business with Malcom Mclaren. In 1981 her brand got famous. I like that she has two colours that show her style. Pink and Gold are a Westwood combination. She also works with Jo Campos (multimedia designer) and she has a team that its around 10 people
and they help her to convert her ideas. She always knows what she wants.
I think its right that graphics feed the fashion. I like the way she has her own vocabulary of symbols and all of them mean something to her customers. For example ORB (Westwood lexicon) part of the traditional british heritage held by queen. The symbol (ORB) used on knitwear , accessories, fragrance and handbags.
This symbol is much copied in Korea and Kuwait.
She has so many symbols such as pan, the young foun , he is half-devil , half-angle and there is a frame name on ornate traditional gilt frame that shows the present and the past.
She has two other lables in the westwood stable; Man and Anglomania. it's a historical inspiration in her clothes.
Anglomania collection designed to contaminate the ideas of the street and sportswear lines of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. Vivienne Westwood managed to create a graphic identity all through collections.
for Vivienne it's necessary that the brand is always about creativity.
I like her works and the symbols that she use. I think her works are unique and inspiring. I often get inspired by her works.

Bristol Museum & Art Gallery 2009

I went to Bristol Museum & Art on 22nd of october to see The End of Line:Attitude in Drawing.I really liked all of the works there, there was some amazing pencil drawings on display but i inspired mostly by David Haines (born 1969)He uses drawing to comment on youth, culture, myth, fashion and the urban landscape. His subjectsare young men in desolate scenes carrying out bizarre rituals.

Also i saw the Mineral section of the Gallery that i loved it. The stones,Gems, colours, silhouette and much more. They are so interesting. I love to make jewelry out of those stones.I will consider it for my final project for sure. They really inspired me in so many different ways.I took so many picture from this section and i just putted few of them.

Task 1

Rather that pointing to exactly one image or object, I would like to mention the recent works of john Galliano which I got excited and inspired.

Watching my self gaining more skills and information regarding our courses in addition to good services and resources that university provides for students excites me to push my carrier further more toward being a successful fashion designer.

I’ve chosen to study it further because I want to have my own fashion line and I really like to be a part of fashion industry. I’m more interested in visual design and textile design. I hope after this 2 years I achieve how I can be successful in fashion industry and get more confident to be able to run my own clothes.

I’ve made a summer collection that I inspired by Roberto Cavalli and Emilio Pucci, I’ve done loads of research on 1960s bikini styles and cover up for beach wears, Basically I studied how these styles have been changed during the past decades and as a result I developed a summer collection based on mixture of previous styles. Also I’ve made a skirt which I designed my textile according to the surface of a building around Bristol watershed. As a part of fair-trade fashion show I made a set including a skirt, top and a bag out of recycle bags.

During our foundation course we introduced to multimedia world, as a part of the course I made a video clip using macromedia flash technology, the production procedure involved frame by frame drawing, scanning and coloring.

The most important which excites me is innovation in areas such as visual and textile design. Cooperating in fashion industries and involving in design and production is definitely exciting.

I am interested in museums and have visited some of them during the last year. Reality shows, fashion related movies and online video channels are part of my activities. In my spare time I Play piano and enjoy theater show. I read Magazines such as vogue, Elle and O.K. I am actively attending Online wikis and forum to solve my problems and to update my knowledge.
